Guests who are planning on visiting Ombe Guestfarm for a prolonged stay, have the opportunity to meet the locals and interact with the rural community. The children and women living on Ombe love to welcome you to their traditional culinary bush activity.
– The ladies will guide you through the bush and collect seasonal vegetables such as wild spinach, roots or berries and teach you about edible or medicinal plants.
– Get introduced to bush survival strategies and tribal knowledge
– To round off the culinary experience you are welcome to taste traditional fat cakes or for the brave once try a protein-rich worm.
– Guaranteed entertaining conversations in Khoisan or Bantu languages, six different languages are spoken on the Ombe guest farm alone.
