The best time to travel to Namibia is in the rain-free months from May to September, when mild temperatures between 20-25 degrees Celsius are to your liking. In June and July, it can get cold especially at night, but an endless blue winter sky accompanies you during the day.

The main travel season is from the beginning of August to the end of September.

In summer it gets very warm, from December to January temperatures are between 30 and 35 degrees and the rainy season begins. In January and February, scattered thunderstorms usually fall in the afternoon, after which the sun quickly shines again. In an arid country with 300 days of sunshine a year, every raindrop is appreciated countrywide.
